Having returned from their explorations of the water work tunnels. The coterie start the evening in the nightclub. Discussing what they have learned. Pondering the political implications and considering their next course of action.
Then they head to check out the 2nd new location suggested by the Gaki and whilst Amy drives around the area the others walk the pavements and talk to some of the locals.
Well, the nightclub was a far more comfortable place to compare notes and discuss the waterway. I believe I’ll attend the next Elysium held by Dona San Angel – we might be able to get our squatter to present himself to us at least.
Taken a look around the apartment building. The neighbourhood seems better than I thought and the sublevels have potential if we can find a way to access them without issues. Next step is to find a way in, I guess!
Amy let us in on a little info she knew on the various Nosferatu who might potentially be using the water plant site for themselves. Those names include some nosferatu lower down the social scale, but still dangerous in their own way (.e.g Demelza & Muerte). Still, Nosferatu are Nosferatu. The thought of them having a population of alligators under their control is rather chilling.
The apartment complex was interesting. A hundred years of service, it has changed ownership 3 times, but is solid despite its history. Apparently, the initial owners built it as a home for workers who lived in their factory nearby (now demolished). Has a number of tenants, all living on social services. low level but a reasonable quality of life there. Security-wise, the building itself is rather large (over 100 apartments) with 3 entrances, all of which have a simple security system (pass-code, keycard & intercom system). A small team of 3-4 concierges handle simple maintainance and security have family living on the premises. It wasnt on the market, but we had between us the funds to potentially become new owners if it was to our advantage.
We decided to split up to check out the neighborhood. I walked about, in the guise of one of the personas i used for these instances. The complex was the largest factor in the area, but there was a mixture of home apartment buildings with a few shops and services. The outside at least is incredibly sturdy, the fact that its foundations used to be a bombshelter speaking volumes for its robustness. I didnt spot them, but apparently it is also crowned with a population of Gargoyal statues. Might be interesting to go see. Speaking with the local people gives the impression that this is a much nicer area than others around, a much more family friendly area. An elderly couple I spoke to talked of great length of the sense of community the area had, along with all the activities organised. It would have been an even more pleasant talk of their dog hadnt stopped yapping.
